Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy describes the refund and cancellation terms for all services offered on Vetnician.

1. Veterinary Appointments

Cancellation Time	Refund
More than 24 hours before appointment	100% refund within 5-7 business days
12-24 hours before appointment	50% refund within 5-7 business days
Less than 12 hours before appointment	No refund
No-show without cancellation	No refund
Cancelled by veterinarian	100% refund within 3 business days

2. Medicine Orders

2.1 Eligible for Refund

Wrong medicine delivered — 100% refund or replacement
Damaged or expired medicine received — 100% refund or replacement
Order not delivered within promised timeframe — 100% refund
Order cancelled before dispatch — 100% refund

2.2 Not Eligible for Refund

Medicines that have been opened or used
Prescription medicines returned without valid reason
Orders cancelled after dispatch
Cold chain products that have been received and opened

3. Pet Insurance

Insurance premium refunds are governed by the policy terms of the respective insurance provider. Vetnician acts as a comparison platform only. For refunds on insurance premiums, contact the insurer directly. Generally:

Policies cancelled within 15 days of purchase (free-look period) — full refund from insurer
Policies cancelled after 15 days — subject to insurer's terms (usually pro-rated)
Claims once filed are non-refundable

4. How to Request a Refund

Email support@vetnician.com with:

Your registered email address
Order/Booking ID
Reason for refund request
Supporting evidence (photos if damaged goods)

We will respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to your original payment method.

5. Disputes

For unresolved refund disputes, contact legal@vetnician.com. Disputes are governed by the Consumer Protection Act 2019 and applicable Indian law.
